DEWALT has identified a manufacturing issue involving the plastic rear guard on some of the following products sold nationally and online between September 2019 and July 2022:

1. Models: DWS780 and DHS780
2. Type Number: 21
3. Production Date Codes: Between 2019-33 and 2022-06

The image shows a DEWALT DWS780-XE Double Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw. The main saw is displayed on the left, with a close-up of its product information label highlighting features such as 230V, 50Hz, 1675W, and Type 21. Additional close-up images show the machine's details and markings.

What is the Issue?: The rear guard may break or detach and make contact with the saw blade. If the rear guard contacts the saw blade, fragments may be thrown from a rotating blade contacting the operator or bystander and causing injury.

What to do: Stop using the mitre saw, check the model, type number and date code against the details above. If your product is impacted, contact the DEWALT Customer Service team to receive a free repair kit.
